Everything we do is designed to make smart ticketing work securely, reliably and consistently across the UK. Since 2003, we’ve managed and developed the ITSO Specification and the products and systems that support it on behalf of the Department for Transport, enabling smart tickets on cards, phones or other devices to work across different transport networks.
By setting common standards, we make it possible for ticketing systems to connect seamlessly and safely. Our Specification defines how interoperability works, while our tools, services and support help operators and suppliers deliver it in practice.
We give local and national authorities, transport operators and suppliers the frameworks and solutions they need to build secure, interoperable and efficient ticketing schemes.
