The ITSO Membership is comprised of a range of organisations from across the smart ticketing and transport industries, with representation from the Public Sector, Transport Operators, Bus and Rail Sectors and Suppliers.

ITSO Members pledge to promote the objectives of ITSO and are entitled to receive voting rights*, take part in the ITSO Specification development, have access to a range of committees and user groups supported by ITSO, and access information from the ITSO members web-site. ITSO Members can elect representatives from these sectors and be elected as non-executive directors onto the ITSO Board.

ITSO Members wishing to implement ITSO technology into the schemes they operate or play an active role in are required to sign an ITSO Operating Licence, the document that outlines the requirements laid out for Licensed Members.

ITSO Licensed members can issue ITSO-compliant cards; issue, retail or accept ITSO products (tickets) and collect and forward data. They benefit from the use of the ITSO Security Management Service and ITSO trademarks and are required to use only ITSO compliant hardware and software within their ITSO operations.

Before any equipment or software can be used within the ITSO environment, it has to be certified by ITSO. If your company falls within the Supplier Sector and wishes to certify equipment for use in ITSO environment, you need to become a Registered Supplier.

Becoming a Registered Supplier will give you access to the ITSO Certification & Testing Service and, if the Certification process is completed successfully, entry to the growing market of the ITSO-certified products.

Both, ITSO Members and non-members, can become Registered Suppliers. Please note that registration, service fees and terms may vary for Members-Registered Suppliers and non-members**.
