Vix provides a comprehensive range of mobility solutions in order to deliver the vision of interoperability and informed personal travel across all modes of transport.

Since 1987, Vix has delivered systems that process over 18 billion transactions per annum, supporting a card base of more than 80 million smartcards. We have won the prestigious Sesames award for best application of smartcard technology three times. Vix is proud to have designed and delivered several of the world's largest multi-modal smartcard systems in major global cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Rome, San Francisco and more recently Beijing - a system designed to process 40 million transactions per day.

Vix has gained an unparalleled level of understanding and experience in this regard through the design and delivery of a large number of complex, highly integrated solutions over the last 23 years. This knowledge has been accumulated and exploited resulting in the development of a wide range of in-house equipment and systems.

To this end, Vix is the only UK supplier who has ITSO-certified components that cover the full end-to-end ITSO environment, including AMS, HOPS, rail platform POST, bus electronic ticket machine POSTs, hand-held inspection POST, hand-held ticket sales POST and card initialisation system (Perso-POST). Additionally, we have RSP accreditation for our ITSO AMS/HOPS/CMS.

Vix products can be found on buses from the Shetland Islands in the North East of Scotland to rail platforms in the South of England. Since the introduction of ITSO 8,000+ ITSO devices have been installed across Great Britain.

Vix offers solutions which have been developed by industry experts who understand the specific requirements and challenges present in the AFC industry. Consequently Vix is able to offer both 'end to end' solutions or specific products and services to PTE's, Local Authorities, Bus and Rail operators. We also provide full operational services such as maintenance and support, card life cycle management, operator and passenger help desk as well as the provision of an outsourced HOPS facility.
