ITSO Ltd is a membership non-profit-sharing organisation that facilitates the development of the ITSO Specification and assist those who have an interest in use of ITSO technology and provision of interoperable smart multi-operator, multi-modal and multi-application services in public transport ticketing and other areas. ITSO announced release of Version 2.1.4 of the ITSO Technical Specification

The changes brought about by the new version, some of which are mandatory, and some optional, improve functionality of ITSO-compliant equipment and the ITSO environment. One of the more significant changes is introduction of the new product type, IPE TYP 24, which replaces the old TYP 24 and makes IPE TYP 24 fit current rail industry requirements. New
features of Version 2.1.4 include new methodology for remote fulfilment of products (tickets) and additional functionality that facilitates complex capping (best value) regimes for ticketing schemes offering “pay by use” stored travel rights products. More... 

ITSO Services Ltd is a separate company that has been set up by ITSO and the Department for Transport to provide certain services for the DfT and non-smart Travel Concession Authorities, in order to facilitate the implementation of the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS).
